Leicester City apologise to Chelsea after Daniel Amartey’s gaffe

Leicester City have offered a heartfelt apology to Chelsea for the actions of Daniel Amartey during the Foxes’ FA Cup final celebrations at Wembley.

Leicester won the world’s oldest cup competition for the very first time in their history following a 1-0 victory secured courtesy a Youri Tielemans’ stunning long-range strike on Saturday.

In the post match celebrations, a video emerged on social media that showed Amartey chuck Chelsea’s pennant exchanged with Leicester’s as part of the pre match arrangements.

The action of the Ghanaian defender drew the ire of football fans across the globe most especially that of Chelsea, who demanded an immediate apology from the player and club.

Subsequently, Leicester have offered to say sorry to Chelsea for the irresponsible actions of Amartey.

The two sides clash again on Tuesday in a Premier league top 4 decider.
