Let’s put the 2021 AFCON debacle behind- Samuel Osei Kuffour pleads with Ghanaians
Ahead of Ghana Black Stars and Nigeria Qatar 2022 World Cup play off game, Ghanaian legend Samuel Osei Kuffour has pleaded with Ghanaians to forget about what transpired in Cameroon 2021 AFCON tournament.
According to the Black Stars Management Committee member, Ghanaians should put the AFCON debacle behind and think about what is at hand now.
Ghana had a very disastrous AFCON campaign in Cameroon picking just a point from the possible nine points after playing three games.
However, the Stars this Friday will play at home against their Nigerian counterparts in the world cup play off game at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Speaking on Kumasi based radio station Oyerepa FM, Samuel Osei Kuffour stated that Ghanaians should not be in a prison of the past and he entreat them to rallied behind the team to victory against Nigeria come Friday.
“Let’s put the AFCON debacle behind. Seriously let’s forget about the past and focus on what is at hand now’
“We have a game now which is on Friday so thinking about the past will do as no good but rather cause us. So everyone should forget about the AFCON and let’s cheer the Stars to victory” he said.
The Black Stars are currently in Kumasi preparing ahead of the game on Friday.
