Mariano Barreto challenges Samuel Boadu, 2 others for GPL top coach award
Asante Kotoko Head Coach Mariano Barreto faces stuff competition from Samuel Boadu of Hearts of Oak and two others for the Ghana Premier League Coach of the Month Award for May 2921, after the nominees were announced.
Barreto is vying for the coveted individual prize for top performing coaches in the local top flight for the specified period.
The Portuguese oversaw an unbeaten run for the Porcupine Warriors in the Month of May (winning 3 and drawing 3 matches). Barreto did this while also keeping his side in the title race.
He face tough competition from Samuel Boadu who has masterminded Hearts of Oak’s rose to form. The other contenders are
Yaw Preko of Medeama SC and Prosper Narteh Ogoom of WAFA.
The winner of the Nasco Premier League Coach of the Month- May will also be announced on Friday, June 25 live on GFA News.
Winner of each category will receive a Nasco television set, a Nasco men’s grooming set and a personalised trophy by Nasco.
