Massive blow for Akonnor as Ofori picks injury in ES Setif-Pirates clash

Ghana coach C.K Akonnor has been given fresh headache ahead of the 2022 AFCON qualifier with South Africa after Richard Ofori picked in injury in his side’s clash with ES Setif.

The Ghana shot stopper was stretched off after 12 minutes when Orlando Pirates played ES Serif in the CAF Champions League clash at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Ghana goalie was carried off after picking what appears to be a tear.

Ofori immediately went down and called for medical attention after releasing a long kick from his goal area.

The former Maritzburg goalie was swiftly stretched off by the medical team and was replaced immediately by Siyabonga Mpontshane.

The extent of the injury is yet to be known but Akonnor will certainly sweat over the injury of the goalie who appears to be in great pain.
