Ashantigold returned to winning with a slim win against Great Olympics in matchday 25 of the Ghana Premier League.

A second half penalty strike from Stephan Owusu Banahene was enough to give the Miners the maximum points at the Len Clay Stadium.

The Miners despite dominating the first half couldn’t find the back of the net.

After the break, Ashantigold kept pushing and were awared a penalty on the 53rd minute after Amos Addai was brought down in the box.

Midfielder Stephen Owusu Banahene stepped up and converted neatly yo give the host the lead here in Obuasi.

Ashantigold kept their 1-0 lead till the blast of the final whistle.
