Liberty Professionals registered their first away win of the season, beating AshantiGold SC 1-0 at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi on Sunday afternoon.

Kweku Karikari’s beautifully taken goal on the stroke of half time was the difference as the visitors picked up a rare win at a difficult ground.

The result means the Scientific Soccer lads have ended a run of 5 league games (D1 L4) without a win.

It has also lifted David Ocloo’s men out of the relegation zone to 15th on the standings.

Meanwhile AshantiGold’s woes deepen, the Miners haven’t recorded a victory in their last fixtures.
