Match Report – Ebusua Dwarfs 2-1 Ashantigold- Godfred Asamoah’s strike down Ashantigold at Cape Coast
Ebusua Dwarfs defeated Ashantigold by 2-1 to register their second home win of the season.
Goals from Dennis Korsah and Simon Martey secured the the maximum points for the visitors, Hans Kwoffie got the consolation for the visitors.
Dwarfs had a good start to the game dominating proceedings but couldn’t create any goalscoring chance in the the half hour mark.
The first chance of the game fell to Seidu Abubakar but his shot went wide.
Dwarfs got the breakthrough through on the 44th minute, skipper Dennis Nkrumah Korsah connected a pass from George Asamoah to put them ahead.
Ashantigold got themselves back in the game after Kwofie beat the offside trap to put the ball behind the goalkeeper in the 75th minute.
The host responded two minute after the equalizer, Godfred Asamoah headed in a free-kick by Simon Martey on the edge of the box to give the Crabs the lead in the 77th minute.
Ashantigold despite launching late pressure couldn’t put the ball at the back of the net as the host managed to defend their lead till the blast of the full-time whistle.
