Match Report: Ghana 3-0 Morroco – Black Maidens pip Young Atlas in an international friendly in Accra
Black Maidens defeated the Young Atlas Lionesses of Morroco 3-0 in a friendly encounter on Saturday.
Goals from Stella Nyamekye, Georgina Aoyom and Mariam Iddi handed the Maidens a comfortable win.
Ghana started very well and took the lead on the 17th minute.
Stella Nyamekye headed home a cross from close range to give them the lead.
Morrocan reacted very well and nearly got the equalizer but Sanchez Lina’s effort went wide.
Stella Nyamekye came close for Ghana on the 40th minute but blasted her effort wide.
Georgina Aoyom doubled Ghana’s lead on the stroke of halftime with a fine finish.
Mariam Iddi Maltiti made it 3-0 for Ghana slotting home a pass in the penalty box.
Ghana maintain their comfortable lead until the blast of the final whistle.
The team will depart Accra on Monday, February 14, 2022 for Cairo for a week training tour ahead of their qualifiers in March.
