From rank outsiders to title contenders, the fortunes of the club has been transformed overnight after enduring a challenging spell in the truncated 2019-20 season.

The latest page turned in this fairytale season is their 3-1 win over struggling King Faisal on Tuesday. The two teams clashed at the Accra Sports stadium with the maximum points at stake.

Back from recess, Olympics doubled their lead courtesy Samuel Abbey Ashie Quaye inside 54 minutes.

King Faisal gave themselves a glimmer of hope when they scored a consolation courtesy Frimpong Boateng, 20 minutes after Olympics’ second.

However any hope of a comeback was extinguished when Michael Yeboah made sure of the results with a striker inside 81 minutes of game play.

The win lifts Olympics to second position on 21 points trailing league leaders Karela United by just goal difference. The latter has a game in hand though.
