Inter Allies beat Elmina Sharks 2-0 on Matchday 23 of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.

Two second half penalties was enough to hand the Capelli boys their first win since April 11 against Karela United.

The home team dominated the opening 45 minutes at the Theatre of Dreams but could not find the breakthrough as the first half ended 0-0.

Few minutes after the recess, the Eleven is to One lads were awarded a penalty which Samuel Armah slotted in perfectly from the spot to break the deadlock.

Armah put the ball in the back of the net at the hour mark for his brace but the goal was ruled out for offside.

Allies kept on pushing for the cushion and their persistence paid off when Alex Aso was brought down in the box again in the 78th minute.

This time, Andy Okpe stepped up and converted the resulting penalty to wrap up the points.

Allies will have to produce more of the same in the coming weeks to improve their survival chances in the Premier League.
