‘Matured’ Abalora deals with ‘angry’ Felix Annan fan
Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Razak Abalora has displayed top class maturity in dealing with a social media thread that seemed to fuel a brewing rivalry between himself and Felix Annan.
The two goalkeepers are currently on the books of Asante Kotoko.
Felix Annan, the club’s captain started the season as number one until an injury in a league game against Berekum Chelsea copped him a spell on the injury table.
His replacement Kwame Baah also due to injury had to vacate the number one position to Abalora who has since dominated the team sheet despite the return of Annan from injury.
Abalora who joined the side just before the season started has amassed the most appearances of all the goalkeepers (17) and currently boasts the best clean sheet record on the top flight.
He’s also conceded the least goals (7) and is on course to be named the best goalkeeper of the season.
Due to his impressive numbers, it has become very difficult to remove him and install Annan back as the club’s number one goalie.
The situation has frustrated some followers of Annan who have not shied away from vebruuf their frustration and anger at Abalora.
The most recent in a series of attacks and occurred on the early morning on Sunday May 2 when Abalora shared his clean sheet record on Twitter.
One fan showed and hastily made the claim that Annan was better than him.
The thread developed until Abalora exti gushed any brewing gear with the reply.
“We are together for Asante Kotoko”.
