Medeama SC midfielder Justice Blay has suffered a serious injury in their game against Legon Cities.

The midfielder was stretchered off the pitch following a dangerous tackle from Legon Cities FC defender Joseph Adjei during Sunday’s Ghana Premier League match clash in Tarkwa.

Initial report indicates the Ghana international has broken his right leg.

Blay had to be rushed to the hospital after his side had taken the lead 1-0 at the Akon Park.

Adjei was sent off with a straight red card.

Striker Prince Opoku Agyemang put the Mauve and Yellows ahead in the game.

The club confirmed the player’s injury on their official Twitter account.

“Joseph Adjei has been shown the red card after a savage tackle on Justice Blay.

Blay has been taken off in what appears a very serious injury.

The club is shattered with the horrific challenge from the Legon Cities centre-back, ”.
