Tarkwa based club Medeama are still grieving over the loss of former boss Samuel Boadu.

Boadu replaced Evans Addotey as the head coach of Medeama Sporting Club in 2018 where he helped build a solid team that came close to winning the Ghana Premier League twice but were denied due to the cancellation of the season on both occasions.

Boadu then left his post as Medeama boss Boadu’s hours after their Ghana Premier League week 16 victory over Techiman Eleven Wonders in Tarkwa. A decision which the club is yet to recover from.

“We didn’t plan for a new Coach, he [Samuel Boadu] woke up one day after a game and told us, he has resigned. Do you know the psychological trauma he took the club through?” – Patrick Akoto told OTEC FM in Kumasi.

“We were forced to go and hire two Coaches. A lot of things went on and it has really affected the club because the timing was wrong.” – Akoto added

“That is why the club has resolved from the board that the matter must see its logical conclusion. We haven’t seen the last of it, we hope it becomes successful at the appeal” – Akoto further stated
