Mohamed Salah has been named African Player of the Year for 2021

The International Federation of History and Statistics (IFFHS) officially confirmed that Mohamed Salah of Liverpool and Egypt’s national football team has won the African Player of the Year award 2021, while Al Ahly football team coach Pitso Mosimane has won the African Coach of the Year award 2021.

The IFFHS announced on its official website that Salah had received the title of the best player in Africa as a result of his outstanding performance for Liverpool.

Mohamed Salah beat Algerian Riyad Mahrez and Moroccan Hakim Ziyech.

Mosimane, a South African coach, was named Africa’s top club coach after leading Al Ahly to victories in the CAF Champions League, the CAF Super Cup, and the Egypt Cup.
