Mohammed Salah to be studied in schools in Egypt as part of curriculum
Liverpool star, Mohammed Salah is set to be honoured in his home country Egypt after rising to become a global icon.
The former Basel talisman in the last five years has established himself not only as a African star but as one of the best players in the world.
With his name not taken lightly in Egypt, authorities have decided that his story should be studied in schools.
As a result, Mohammed Salah’s rise to stardom is to be included in the national school curriculum of his home country.
According to the information gathered, the attacker’s biography, career and philanthropy will be a topic in English-language textbooks for both primary and secondary schools throughout Egypt.
“Salah’s desire to help others is because he wants to give young people a chance to succeed. He is a role model to millions of Egyptians who give him the nickname ‘the happiness maker,” some part of a secondary school book mentions.
Salah becomes only one of a few personalities who have been included in the curriculum. Others include late Nobel prize-winning novelist Naguib Mahfouz and Egyptian-American Ahmed Zewail who won the Nobel prize for chemistry, and British-based cardiologist Sir Magdi Yacoub.
