MTN FA Cup R64: Legon Cities FC beat Tema Youth on penalties to advance to Round 32

Legon Cities FC have advanced to the Round 32 stage of this season’s MTN FA Cup competition after defeating Tema Youth FC on penalties.

The Ghana Premier League outfit today locked horns with the team from the National Division One League to do battle in the Round 64 stage.

After a tough contest between the two teams throughout regulation time, Tema Youth held Legon Cities FC to a 1-1 draw.

With the game travelling into the penalty shootout stage, Legon Cities FC triumphed as the team won 4-2 at the end of the shootout.

Courtesy of the win, the Premier League outfit has qualified for the Round 32 stage.
