Mubarak Wakaso express appreciation to CK Akonnor after Black Stars sacking
Ghana midfielder, Mubarak Wakaso has expressed his appreciation to CK Akonnor following his sacking as the head coach of the Black Stars.
The Ghanaian tactician on Monday had his contract with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) terminated on the back of the national team’s defeat to South Africa in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Taking to his Twitter page today, Mubarak Wakaso has wished CK Akonnor all the best and backed the gaffer to succeed in his future endeavours.
“when I was a little boy in Tamale I watched you play football.
“Later, I became a ball boy/ player for Gold Fields where you played. You became my coach at the Black Stars. Thank you for everything and best of luck in your next job. I know you will succeed CK Akonnor,” Wakaso has posted on his Twitter page.
