Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko Nana Yaw Amponsah has rated his tenure at 75%.
The young football administrator was appointed last year to take charge of the club’s day to day administration. He has eventually formed a management team and began the process of steering the club back to the top of the game on the continent.
Unsurprisingly his spell on charge so far has been fraught with some challenges.
The various happenings in the past months since taking over have led many to come their own impressions of the former Ghana Football Association presidential candidate.
In an interview on Adom TV’s Fire for Fire program,Nana Yaw Amponsah was asked to assess his tenure so far and he wasted little time in sharing his thoughts.
“If I was outside and analyzing the work of Nana Yaw Amponsah (as CEO), I will score him at 75%,” he said.
“We have done like 60% of what we want to do for Asante Kotoko in the first season. But overall we have not even completed 20% of what we want to do for Asante Kotoko in the long term,” he continued.
The issue of Kotoko fans agreeing or disagreeing with Nana Yaw Amponsah’s ratings is expected to be a regular feature in streetside arguments and on several media platforms after his claims.
But even before the dust settles on this, a club legend, Malik Jabir has already offered his take.
The former Player, Coach and board member of the club has bluntly replied Nana Yaw Amponsah that he cannot be his own assessor.
