Nicholas Opoku proud after debut Black Stars goal
Nicholas Opoku has expressed his joy after his scoring his first goal for Black Stars in their 3-1 win over São Tomé in the final Group game of the 2021 AFCON Qualifiers on Thursday.
The Amiens defender headed home the opener just ten minutes into the game after connecting perfectly to a Kudus Mohammed corner kick.
The goal was his first for the Ghana national team since he was handed his debut on 1st July 2017 in a friendly against the USA.
After the game, Opoku took to his social media page to celebrate his feat.
“Four years ago I made my 🇬🇭 #BlackStars debut & today on the last day of the #AFCON2021 qualifiers, I’ve my debut goal.
Proud moment – from the u17, u20, u23 to #BlackStars it’s always been a great feeling playing for my country.
