OFFICIAL : Asante Kotoko announce the signing of young midfielder Clinton Opoku
Ghana Premier League giant Asante Kotoko have completed the signing of young forward Clinton Opoku ahead of the 2021/2022 season.
The 18-year old has penned a four year deal with the club following a successful trial in the past few days.
He joins the club on a free transfer after parting ways with Division One side Phar Rangers.
The talented 16-year-old was instrumental for Phar Rangers and was rated among the best forwards in the 2020/21 Division One League zone Three before his club decided to withdraw from all competitions organized by the Ghana Football Association.
Opoku joined Phar Rangers from Eastern Region based second division side Kwaebibirem United FC.
He becomes the third player to join the Porcupines following the acquisition of former Inter Allies midfielder Richmond Lamptey and Maxwell Agyemang of Wamanfo Mighty Royals FC.
