OFFICIAL : Ashantigold confirm the appointment of Ernest Thompson Quartey as new head coach
AshantiGold SC announced the appointment of former Ebusua Dwarfs trainer Ernest Thompson Quartey as the club’s new head coach.
The experience trainer has penned a two-year contract with the Miners following a successful negotiations.
He will take over from Thomas Duah who acted as interim manager at the end of the 2020/2021 season.
AshantiGold finished the 2020/2021 with about five coaches handling the club at some point.
Roberto Landi, Milovan Cirkovic, Romain Folz, Sarfo Castro and Thomas Duah all took charge of the club during the season.
Ernest Thompson is expected to bring his own assistant coach in the coming days.
Ashantigold finished 9th in the just ended Ghana Premier League and also reached the Final of the MTN FA Cup.
