“One goal project tag is not my strategy” – Milovan Rajevac

Ghana new coach Milovan Rajevac has rejected claims of being a ‘one goal project’ coach.

The Serbian trainer is back for a second stint with the Black Stars following his unveiling last Friday.

Milo affectionately called by many Ghanaians was tagged as a ‘One Goal Project’ coach during his first stint with the national team.

Out of 33 games, he scored 40 goals and conceded 32 in the process.

Speaking after his unveiling, he disclosed the ‘One Goal Project’ was the tag of the Ghanaian media and not his strategy.

“I never instructed my players to go on the field and score one goal and defend. They have to score as many as they could but if they fail to score again is no indication that is a strategy.”

“I have stated in the past that I prefer five wins with a 1-0 margin than winning just a match 5-0 and lose the rest. Winning is what matters to me but the margin is not so important.”

“Of course, I would like my team to score as many goals as possible that is if the chances are there. What happened in the past was due to circumstances.”
