Partey is progressing but he may not play again this season – Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta provides injury update

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided an injury update on Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey ahead of their clash against West Ham United today.

Partey has been on the sidelines for sometime now after picking an injury against Crystal Palace early April.

He limped off as Arsenal suffered a 3-0 defeat to Palace at away.

Giving an update on Partey ahead of their clash with West Ham, Arteta indicated the Ghanaian midfielder is progressing well but may not feature again in the ongoing season.

“He’s progressing but he had a significant injury, a recurring injury as well, so we don’t expect him to make progress that quickly to see him this season, but hopefully I am wrong,” Arteta said at a press conference on Friday.

The former Atletico Madrid star has missed the last four games and will not be available on Sunday against West Ham.
