Patrick Joosten provides assist in Cambuur defeat against NEC Nijmegen
Patrick Joosten provided a wonderful assist as SC Cambuur fell by two goals to one on Sunday evening at Cambuur Stadion.
Jonathan Okita gave the visitors the lead in the second minute, but Mitchell Paulissen equalized in the 11th minute following a wonderful ball from Patrick Joosten.
Cambuur were the superior team, but they couldn’t find a goal to take the lead, and NEC punished them in the 77th minute when Javier Vet scored with a spectacular long range effort.
The 25-year-old, is on loan from Groningen and has played twenty games this season, scoring one goal and assisting on two others.
Joosten previously played for NEC, Utrecht, Jong Utrecht, VVV-Venlo, and Sparta Rotterdam.
He has made four appearances and scored one goal for the Netherlands U19 and made two appearances for the Netherlands U21.
