Patrick Twumasi returns to team training after coronavirus quarantine
Patrick Twumasi missed the training camp because he had to be quarantined because of a positive corona test. Now he is to be reintegrated into the team training of 96. “That’s a handicap for him, so you don’t have to keep it a secret,” says coach Jan Zimmermann.
Two weeks of compulsory break are over, now Patrick Twumasi can finally get out again. The 96 professional had tested positive for the coronavirus in a routine PCR control and went into quarantine at home with the family.
Because the 27-year-old had no direct contact with his teammates before and who subsequently tested negative, 96 was spared the next team quarantine after consulting the responsible health department in the region.
Twumasi will slowly be integrated into team training again from Thursday. Coach Jan Zimmermann: “We have to see how we can burden him now. We will test that. That’s a handicap for him, so you don’t have to keep it a secret. “
Because of the corona quarantine, Twumasi had also missed the training camp in Rotenburg – extra bitter. Twumasi came a year ago in the summer as a supposed king transfer, but the winger from Ghana has so far not been able to prevail.
