PHOTOS: President Akufo-Addo meets Ghana U20 side after AFCON winning feat
Following their triumphant conquest of Africa in the U20 AFCON, the Black Satellites of Ghana on Tuesday met the president of the country Nana Addo Danqua Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House in Accra.
The team, together with the leadership of the Ghana Football Association presented the trophy to the president as well as other awards received at the tournament.
Ghana did not only conquer the rest of Africa by winning the ultimate, they spiced it with winning the best player and best goalkeeper awards.
President Akufo-Addo received the team with excitement, congratulated them and charged the Ghana FA to win more laurels.
He also pledged to personally give the best player, captain, best goalkeeper and the head coach of the side $5000 each.
This will come from the president personally as the state will be rewarding each player with $10,000 while each member the technical team gets $5,000.
The President unequivocally stated that the $10,000 meant for the players will be $5000 in cash while the remaining $5000 will be entered into an invest plan for them.
