Pierre Dwomoh excited to play with Radja Nainggolan
The very young Pierre Dwomoh started for the first time this season against Anderlecht, at 17 years old. Not enough to impress the phlegmatic attacking midfielder.
After two climbs against Fenerbahçe and 45 minutes against Club Brugge, Pierre Dwomoh convinced Brian Priske to give him a chance at kick-off this Sunday against RSC Anderlecht. “I started the game confidently and without stress, with a good feeling,” said the slim midfielder after the game. “I know I’m still very young, but I’ve always said it, no matter how old you are, 17, 18, 19, it doesn’t change a thing.”
Dwomoh could count on a shock partner in the middle in the person of Radja Nainggolan. “It’s a childhood dream, really. When I was little, I saw him play with the Red Devils,” recalls the young Pierre, who was 12 at the time of Euro 2016 where his teammate held. “He helps me well, he coaches me in the field, it is very useful for me”.
So impressed by his teammate, but not by the opponent: Dwomoh gave everything to the duel with experienced boys like Hoedt. “Who I’m playing against doesn’t impress me, if I had to play against Messi tomorrow it would be the same. He’s smaller anyway (laughs)”.
