Porcupine 007: Asante Kotoko set secret spies among playing body
In a Kumerican James Bond 007 style, reports reaching FMIG indicate that Asante Kotoko’s management have set spies within the team’s playing body to check against certain behaviors that work against on-field performance.
The Porcupine Warriors have turned around their season on the domestic front, climbing top of the table in the process.
Although their African adventure in the CAF Confederation Cup appears all but over following defeat to ES Setif at home, Kotoko have set sights in winning the local premier league.
To ensure this, the management, having taken notice of some nocturnal activities of some players have set spies among them to report on those whose continual engagement in such impacts negatively on performance on the pitch.
A Kotoko Supporters Group last week tweeted about their concerns over how some player’s engagement with some ladies is affecting the club.
The Group threatened to ‘deal’ with these unnamed ladies if they don’t stay away from the players.
It is not yet known if the reported move by management is related to the tweet.
However, the move by management is aimed at checking against the team allowing the nocturnal activities of some irresponsible players to impact negatively on their output on the pitch.
