Premier League Report: Elmina Sharks 2 – 1 Bechem United
Elmina Sharks ended their 3 games winless run after downing Bechem United 2-1 at the Nduom Park on matchday ten of the Ghana Premier League.
Goals from Tahir Musah and Ishmael Hammond’s gave was enough to give Sharks the maximum points, Moro Salifu got the consolation for Bechem United.
There were not many actions in the first half as both sides kept their defense tight.
After the first half, Elmina Sharks came all out searching for the opener, Justice Mensah’s header went wide.
The Sharks’ pressure paid off on the 85th minute, Tahir Musah got the opener by finishing off a good team move.
The visitors were awarded a penalty on the 89th minute, skipper Moro Salifu converted from the spot to draw his side level.
With the game ending in a draw, Sharks were awarded a penalty in the stoppage time and Ishmael Hammond made no mistake by putting the ball at the back of the net to make it 2-1.
Sharks held on to their lead till the blast of the full-time whistle.
