PREVIEW: Hearts of Oak vs Legon Cities- Royals eye Phobia scalp

Published

Hearts of Oak will lock horns with Legon Cities at Accra Sports Stadium in a Ghana Premier League Matchday 13 fixture on Sunday.

The game will be live on StarTimes TV Channel 247 (Adepa Channel) with kick-off slated for 6pm GMT.

Hearts of Oak need to revisit the drawing board following back-to-back defeats to Great Olympics and Medeama.

The Phobians go into this fixture knowing they can’t afford another slip up especially at home.

Coach Kosta Papic has been visibly unhappy lately and has questioned the character of his players.

The gaffer will demand a response from them against their city-rivals this weekend and a good number of them will go into this clash with a point to prove.

Hearts are currently 10th on the league log with 16 points.

Despite their stuttering start to the season, Legon Cities finally look like a team that belongs in the big time.

The Royals have made significant improvements in recent weeks which has seen them lift themselves out of the relegation zone.

Cities registered back to back wins against AshantiGold and Inter Allies before holding league leaders Karela to a goalless draw in midweek.

Coach Bashir Hayford knows this is an opportune time to face Hearts and will be looking to take full advantage on Sunday.
