Prez. Akuffo clamours for support from Ghanaians for CK
President of Ghana H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has expressed belief in the abilities of Black Stars coach, Charles Kwabla Akonnor and is asking Ghanaians to rally behind him ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2022 World Cup campaigns.
The President tasked the Black Stars to win the Africa Cup of Nations next year as well as reach the semifinals of the World Cup in 2022 at a breakfast meeting with CEOs of Corporate and the leadership of the Ghana Football Association.
According to him, Akonnor has played to the highest level and is confident he can lead the country as a coach.
“We have our former captain CK Akonnor of the Black Stars who is now coach of the team here, he’s been to the highest level of the game, we believe in him and we must all support him to succeed,” said the President.
