Ghana international, Raphael caused a scare on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, when he collapsed.
The incident happened in the evening when his BW Linz outfit was set to face Hartberg in a Round 16 clash in the Austria Cup.
Prior to the match, he fell and took the intervention of the medical experts on-site to ensure the worst did not happen.
According to information provided by his club, his implanted defibrillator helped to restart his heart and hence was crucial to save his life.
“The doctors were able to stabilize him quickly, the rescue chain worked perfectly. It didn’t take a second for the paramedics to be on their way to him,” BW Linz managing director Stefan Reiter has disclosed.
