Ronaldo lived his life to score in every game but that is not how I lived – KP Boateng
Ghana forward Kevin-Prince Boateng has said that Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo lived his life to score in every game but that isn’t how he lived his life.
The 34-year-old returned to boyhood club, Hertha Berlin in the summer after the expiration of his contract with Serie B side AC Monza is yet to live up to expectations.
However, according to the former Barcelona star, his role at the Berlin outfit is to make the young players so strong in order to bring the team back to the top.
“My job is to make the young players so strong that they bring Hertha back to the top. People like Mittelstädt and Richter are turning up, a few percent of me are there, that makes me proud,” said Boateng.
Citing Cristiano Ronaldo’s return to Manchester United, he said the Portuguese lived his whole life to score in every game but said his situation is different.
“Manchester United brought back Cristiano Ronaldo, but he lived his whole life to ensure that he could still score in every game at the age of 36. That’s not how I lived,” said Boateng, self-critical and realistic” he said.
Kevin-prince Boateng has made 8 appearances for the club this season but never played more than 60 minutes in any Bundesliga game
