SAD: Ex-Ghana and Feyenoord defender Christian Gyan has died

Former Ghana international, Christian Gyan has sadly passed on, footballghana.com can report.

The unfortunate happened in the early hours of Wednesday, December 29, 2021.

Christian Gyan has died at the age of 43. During his playing days, he excelled playing for Dutch giants Feyenoord and earned the nicknamed “Atta Rasta” for his impressive exploits for the Ghana national team.

The deceased was part of the excellent Ghana U17 squad that conquered the world in the 1990s.

He went on to play for several clubs in Europe and made over 20 appearances for the senior national team of Ghana, the Black Stars.

Sources have disclosed that Christian Gyan died of cancer.

Besides Feyenoord, Christian Gyan also played for clubs including TPS, RoPS, Wrexham, and Excelsior.
