Sam Johnson questions absence of GPL top scorer amidst Black Stars goal scoring crisis
Sam Johnson, Former Ghana International has questioned the absence of Ghana Premier League top scorer from the Black Stars setup while the team struggles for goals.
The Black Stars have struggled for goals in their recent games scoring 1 goal in their last four (4) games whilst struggling to fashion any attacking opportunities.
Diawisie Taylor of Karela United topped the Ghana Premier League scorers chart with 18 goals and has only been given a look-in in the local Black Stars and the national U-23 side.
Taylor, the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League golden boot winner, Diawisie Taylor is yet to receive a call-up nor gain a senior cap with the Black Stars.
Sam Johnson who represented the Black Stars at four AFCONs bemoaned the absence of the GPL top scorer whilst the team struggled to score goals.
“We all see the performances of the players in Ghana here. We’re speaking about Bring back the love and top scorer of the Ghana Premier League is not even being mentioned in the Black Stars” – Sam Johnson told Empire FM.
