Solitary strike from Ghanaian striker Sadat Karim propels Halmstad BK to vital playoff win
Ghanaian international, Sadat Karim was a hero for his Halmstad BK outfit on Saturday when the team recorded a crucial 1-0 win against Helsingborg IF in the Allsvenskan relegation play-offs in Sweden.
Although the team put up a good fight in the regular season, they could not earn the needed results to stay in the safe zone.
As a result, Halmstad BK are forced to play in the relegation playoff of the Allsvenskan.
Needed a win over two legs to enhance chances of staying in the Swedish top-flight league, Sadat Karim and his teammates yesterday secured victory from the first leg.
The exciting striker who featured for his team scored the decisive goal for his team in the 7th minute of the first half after an assist from Samuel Kroon to cruise to the 1-0 win at the end of the contest at the Olympia Stadium in Helsingborg.
The reverse fixture is now scheduled to be played on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at the Orjans Vall Stadium in Halmstad.
