Spanish side UD Extremadura sign Ghanaian youngster Sumaila Abanga

Spanish side UD Extremadura have completed the signing of Ghanaian youngster Sumaila Abanga on a free transfer.

The 19-year-old joins the third-tier club on a five-month deal after successful negotiations and passing his medical.

Abanga has been club-less since he was released by Spanish Segunda B side Deportivo Badajoz last summer.

He was one of the standout players for Ghanaian Division Two side Benab FC before moving to Spain.

The highly-rated striker was part of the Black Satellites team which won the 2020 WAFU B tournament.

He will be looking to hit the ground running in order to get a permanent deal by the end of his contract in June.
