Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif declares Baba Yara Stadium opened to host matches
The Minister in charge of Youth, Sports, and Culture, Hon. Mustapha Ussif has declared the Baba Yara Stadium ready to host matches.
The Stadium located in Kumasi, the capital city of the Ashanti Region has been closed for the past year to allow for renovation works.
During that period, broken seats have been replaced, a proper drainage system has been installed, with a new grass also grown.
With the Sports Ministry satisfied after the completion of all works, Minister Mustapha Ussif has today declared the Baba Yara Sports Stadium opened.
The Minister inspected the grounds today with an entourage from the Ministry. In attendance was also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah, as well as some other club officials.
