Stephan Ambrosius handed initial Ghana call up for SA and Sao Tome clashes
Young German born Ghanaian born defender Stephan Kofi Ambrosius has been handed his first ever Black Stars call-up.
Ghana Head Coach Charles Akonnor named the 22 year old center-back as part of his squad for the upcoming fixtures against South Africa and Sao Tome.
The two fixture will complete Ghana’s AFCON 2021 qualifying journey.
Stephan Ambrosius plays for Hamburger SV in the German Bundesliga 2. He has so far made 21 appearances to help his side’s promotion chasing dreams.
Ambrosius plays primarily as a center-back but can also slot in and do a job as a defensive midfielder.
He will be expected to provide options in defense for Ghana when they face South Africa on March 25 before facing Sao Tome three days later.
