“Stop taking things for granted”- Samuel Boadu warn his players on wasting goalscoring chances

Head coach of Hearts of Oak, Samuel Boadu has cautioned his players on the manner they waste scoring opportunities.

The Phobians continued their impressive form by walloping lower tier side, Windy Professionals 4-1 in the MTN FA Cup round 32 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Hearts of Oak despite creating numerous opportunities couldn’t find the back of the net in the first half.

A spirited second half performance saw the Phobians scored four and ease themselves to victory on the day.

Speaking to the media after the game, Boadu wants his charges to make use of the least goal scoring opportunity that presents itself.

“Hearts of Oak players, what I will tell them is, they should not take things for granted.

“If you look at the first half [againts Windy Professionals], we created about eight chances.

“If nothing at all, we should have scored four out of the eight chances.

“We should not wait until the last minute before taking chances.

“When we act like that, it will not help us.” Samuel Boadu said.

The win is their 9th in their last 10games in all competition.
