Sulley Muntari focused on Hearts of Oak amid calls for inclusion into Ghana squad for Nigeria encounter

Hearts of Oak midfielder, Sulley Muntari has indicated that he is focused on the club amid calls for his inclusion into the Ghana squad for the upcoming clash against Nigeria.

Due to his fine displays in the Ghana Premier League since signing for the Phobians, the former AC Milan superstar has been praised by many Ghanaians.

Some even believe he should be given a call-up to feature for the Black Stars in the tie against Nigeria in the final round of the African qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Reacting to calls for his return to the Black Stars on Wednesday, Sulley Muntari said although he is flattered, he is now just focused on Hearts of Oak.

“I’m pleased to hear the fans call for my inclusion into the Ghana team for the upcoming FIFA World Cup playoffs against Nigeria but for now its all about Hearts of Oak”, he told StarTimes after WAFA game.

On the matchday, Sulley Muntari netted the winning goal to help Hearts of Oak to secure maximum points.
