Swiss club AIK Stockholm prevented Ghana’s Ebenezer Ofori from leaving in summer
Ghana and AIK Stockholm midfielder Ebenezer Ofori was prevented from leaving the club in the summer transfer window, Footballghana.com can report.
Ofori made a return to the club in January 2020 signing a three-year deal with the Swiss club from German side Stuttgart.
The 26-year-old expensive player has failed to live up to expectations since joining the club.
He has been relegated to the bench and is therefore unlikely to be part of the squad in 2022.
Footballghana.com understands the former New Edubiase star came close to leaving AIK in the summer but the club decided to keep him.
Ofori had offers in Denmark, Norway and in Israel who wanted to either sign him on a permanent deal or on loan.
But AIK opted to keep him as the club had injury problems and did not want to risk having a too thin squad before the gold battle.
