Tariq Lamptey is absolutely lighting – Brighton defender Adam Webster

Brighton and Hove Albion defender Adam Webster has heaped praise on Ghanaian right-back Tariq Lamptey following his outstanding performance for the club.

Lamptey, who spent a chunk of last season on the sidelines due to hamstring injury has been instrumental in the 2021/22 campaign wining Player of the Month award at the club.

However, Adam Webster who sees the 20-year-old as the quickest player at Brighton says he is absolutely lighting.

“He is absolutely lightning,” he said of Lamptey. “Sometimes you have to tell him to calm him down a bit, because he is so fast. But you don’t want to be in a race with him, that’s for sure.” He said.

Although, Lamptey has represented England at the youth level, he is eligible to play for Ghana at senior level.

Lamptey was born to Ghanaian parents in England.
