The goal is to be greater than Al Ahly and Zamalek, says Hearts director Vincent Odotei
Hearts of Oak Director, Vincent Sowah Odotei has disclosed that the club is aiming to become bigger than African giants Al Ahly and Zamalek.
Although the Ghanaian giants have a lot of history in Africa, it lacks a number of things particularly in the area of infrastructure.
Now pushing to have its Pobiman project completed, Vincent Sowah Odotei has noted that Hearts of Oak are aiming big to rival the likes of Real Madrid.
“We will have a commercial centre dedicated solely for merchandising, ticket sales and a whole complete commercial unit that will ensure that, apart from operational income of match day proceeds, we will be able to generate revenues from merchandising.
“We’ve employed dedicated officers for ticketing, merchandising, and sponsorship”, the Hearts of Oak director told Starr FM in an interview.
Vincent Odotei Sowah continued, “That’s what we call relationships. In addition, the commercial manager, we are going to employ more people. The project of hearts of oak should not be different from Real Madrid. We want to be greater than Al Ahly and Zamalek within the medium term.”
Hearts of Oak last season won the Ghana Premier League and the MTN FA Cup titles. With that success, the club is aiming to enjoy additional success in the season ahead.
