This is how Raphael Dwamena feels after the collapse
The 26-year-old striker from Blau-WeiB Linz, who collapsed against TSV Hartberg in his club’s round of 16 match in the OFB Cup, was hospitalized and is in stable condition.
The Ghanaian, equipped with a defibrillator, collapsed while screaming in the early stages of the cup match. The game in Linz was then canceled.
“His defibrillator struck and the doctors were able to stabilize him quickly,” reported blue-white manager Stefan Reiter of the APA. Dwamena was conscious when she was transported to the hospital, and further tests are currently being carried out. “Raphael’s condition is stable.” According to the manager, the rescue chain “worked extremely well”. “It didn’t take a second for the paramedics to be on their way to him.”
Referee Andreas Heiss had initially interrupted the game for a short time when the score was 0-0, before it was canceled with the consent of both teams. Reiter expressed gratitude and appreciation to the opponent. Hartberg’s club spokesman said: “It was immediately clear to us that we would not continue playing today.”
