Tijani Joshua reveals why he terminated his contract with Aduana Stars
Tijani Joshua has said that he requested that his contract with Aduana Stars be terminated owing to injuries, despite their desire and readiness to prolong his stay with them for a few more years.
Earlier this week, there were unusual rumors that Tijani Joshua’s contract, as well as the contracts of seven other players, had been terminated by Aduana Stars, however there was no official confirmation from the club.
But the experience defender in an interview with West FM, has confirmed the reports about the termination but we went further to give the reason why it happened.
“Since I joined the team have been always struggled with injuries so the team approached me and I told them I want to terminate my contact,”
“They asked me about contract extension because my years with them will end in January but I decided not to stay, I’m even preparing to leave Aduana in the coming days,”
“I think with good recruitment of players, the team is currently doing, they can start the new season very well because last season the team couldn’t perform well because of some vital points we lost both home and away,” he ended.
