Top Algerian club enquire about Asante Kotoko’s Kwame Opoku
Asante Kotoko goal machine Kwame Opoku continues to be the subject of growing interest from several foreign clubs.
The striker is in the form of his life after a dream start to his Asante Kotoko tenure.
In his debut season, the former Nkoranza Warriors goal poacher has exhibited sheer prolificacy by nagging in the goals for the Porcupine Warriors.
He is the club’s top scorer in all competitions this season and his exploits have not gone unnoticed.
There have been mounting interests in his form clubs abroad and the latest to join the growing list is Algeria outfit USM Algiers.
The 8-time Algerian Champions enquired about the player’s availability during Kotoko’s recent trip to Algeria to face ES Setif in the CAF Confederation Cup.
They sounded out the player about his interest in joining USMA and they were then referred to his current employers.
It remains to be seen what becomes of this latest interest but Asante Kotoko have place a hefty $1.5m price tag on the player.
