U-20 AFCON: Ghana coach Karim Zito wary of Cameroon threat
Ghana U20 coach Karim Zito expects a tough encounter against Cameroon in their titanic quarter-final clash on Thursday.
The game is scheduled for Stade Olympique in Nouakchott on Thursday, February 24.
Ghana made it through to the quarterfinals of the CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations after finishing third in Group C.
The Black Satellites qualified as one of the best third-placed teams and will come up against their Cameroonian counterparts who finished top of Group A.
“We know they are the only team with 100% record so far in the competition but any Ghana and Cameroon is not easy” Zito said in his pre-match presser.
”It’s going to be an interesting game tomorrow and it will be an explosive game of football. Sometimes it takes losing a game to reawaken you. I can assure you that after our team meetings and all what we’ve discussed, the boys are ready for the game against Cameroon tomorrow”
