Victorien Adebayor breaks silence on HB Køge exit, debunks girlfriend claims

Newly signed Legon Cities forward Victorien Adebayor has broken silence on the reason he  left Danish side HB Koge.

Adebayor joined the Royals on a loan deal which will see him at the club untill December 2021.

Despite the claim by the Sporting Director of HB Koge Per Rud that he left for personal reasons which included having girlfriend issues.

The Nigerien attacker has debunked the claims  insisting he wanted to play football, and that was the only reason he opted to return to Ghana.

“The problem I had in Denmark was purely footballing. I was not playing and the main reason why I was there was to play and not any girlfriend issue,” he said at his unveiling at Legon Cities

Adebayor is expected to turn things around for the club in the second round after their  struggled in the first round of the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season.
