VIDEO: Watch highlights of Ghana’s win over Cameroon in U20 AFCON
The Black Satellites of Ghana once again displayed their penalty kick prowess, this time over Cameroon in the first quarter finals of the ongoing U20 AFCON.
After sharing the spoils with their Cameroonian counterparts in the first quarter final clash of the ongoing U20 AFCON in Mauritania under regulation time, the game galloped into the extra time moment where both teams scored a goal each.
Cameroon fired themselves in front through Kevin-Prince Milla on the 103rd minute but a resilient Ghana side restored parity under a minute with an excellent finish from substitute Frank Boateng.
The game was pushed into penalty shootouts after both sides failed to score again until the 120 minutes were all eaten away.
Danlad Ibrahim brilliantly saved one of the penalties while the Cameroonians shot another into the woodwork handing Ghana a qualification into the semis.
